The Smarter E Industry Days
On Friday 23 July, SolarPower Europe, in collaboration with GET.invest, will organise the session “Green Deal Diplomacy and EU instruments supporting renewable energy project development in developing markets” at the Smarter E Industry Days. The session will take place online from 3:00 pm till 4:30 pm CEST.
In this session, representatives of the European Commission and European development finance institutions are invited to speak about their initiatives aimed at fostering renewable energy development in emerging markets, including Africa. The European Commission will start with a presentation to contextualise the session, which will be followed by a series of presentations about the Electrification Financing Initiative (ElectriFI), Bettervest, and GET.invest. The experts will present various European support instruments that can help European businesses to develop projects in emerging markets in the spirit of the European Green Deal. After the presentations, participants will have the opportunity to engage with the speakers as part of a Q&A.
