Windaba 2024
On 1-3 October 2024, the South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA) is organising Windaba 2024 with the support of our partner the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). As the premier event for wind energy in Africa, held annually since 2010, the conference and exhibition serve as a platform to share valuable insights and knowledge, assisting attendees in making strategic decisions related to wind energy projects.
On Wednesday 2 October (11:00-12:30 SAST), GET.invest will have a speaking slot in the Wind Energy Finance breakaway session, which will delve into unpacking the evolving risk appetite for wind energy from financiers and lenders. The panel will discuss the changing landscape and trends that are currently driving renewable energy, as discovering new opportunities in transformative markets is essential for advancing the clean energy transition.
In addition, GET.invest will showcase its commitment to the sector through supporting GWEC with different activities:

- The 3rd annual Windaba Connect, a platform designed to foster discussions on social impact, aimed at transforming the wind energy sector as South Africa transitions to a low-carbon future. Windaba Connect will bring together industry thought leaders to share knowledge, explore best practices, and develop measurable solutions that can be implemented across the wind energy value chain.
